I've gathered the first chapters of all my NaNoWriMo projects into one document. Read them here, at Google Documents! I'm still working on it: have to edit the verbiage from Vaya con Dios and After the Fact before I can post them in good conscious, xD
It's a winter wonderland outside, :] Destined to melt around midday, when temperatures soar to a blistering 41 degrees and cook the snowy earth without remorse.
First snow of the season. We had our first ice storm last week; it turned the world glassy and treacherous, and there was no stepping outside without sliding across all creation. Even our dog was too frightened to traverse the porch steps, having tripped and gone sprawling and spinning across the yard. I always tell him not to leap the steps, but he never listens to me.
We began a snow lottery at the start of the year. My mother and I chose January dates, our dog February 1st, my sister and father later dates in February. The winning guess is that which is closest to the actual snow day (because we've come to learn that snow on the day that you've guessed is too phenomenal a thing to hope for); the winner get... something (we still owe my dad a prize from last year, xD). Our dog won this year. Not fair, D: My sister chose for him.
xD But oh well. He got a new sweater for a prize.
Nearly done with chapter 8 (or was it 7?) of Moonstruck. Stymied by the fact that my G/Z scene can't happen unless I can somehow transport Ganondorf to Hyrule Castle before the sun rises and ruins a perfectly Gothic tryst. But I'll figure it out somehow.
