Oh the Sweet Song of Dial-Up!

Internet. Internet in the home at long, long last. Dial-up, but still. Internet. Access easier to obtain than a ten minute trip to the library to wait half an hour for a computer I can only use for fifteen minutes. It's... like... freedom.

...

I sound like an addict, xD Not funny.

Have been whittling away the days in stories - reading, writing, the usual. My mind is overrun with plans for novels and novellas and short story collections, but I haven't enough patience to see my plans through beyond the first, fevered brainstorming. But as this was last year's case, I've made my resolution of 2009: to see one of those ideas through. Just one. Let the floodgates open after that, if they will.

I want to rewrite my 2006 NaNoWriMo this year, as well as finish my last NaNo in time for a contest coming up in 2009. And then there's a collection of short stories I want to finish before my birthday. Three goals for the year. Let's finish one, self, hip hip hooray!

To do so, of course, I must exorcise the Inheritance Cycle fanfic plot bunnies playing havoc with my sanity, xD I have outlined three novels and an uncounted number of short stories this week. And that was just this week. I don't know where the bunnies are staging their attack from; I haven't even glanced at an IC novel since I finished Brisingr.

Oh well. The brainstorming keeps my brain exercised.

[ Hi, world. Uninspired post, I know. :: waves :: ]
