The Ladybugs - They Drive Me MAD
Yesterday marked the first week that we've passed in our new house. We're quite nearly settled in: the front room is box-free and I know where all the dishes in the kitchen are (we've so many cabinets, and went so wild in discovering places for our overabundance of dishes, that for the first several days we had no idea where many things had gotten off to. My mother, sister, and father still aren't particularly sure where everything goes, but I do, ;P) I've set up my computer and discovered that no documents where swallowed by oblivion; I've rearranged my room, set up my bookcase, and stuffed it full with library books. We found the loveliest library on Monday. I fell instantly in love with it: it's two floors, and has first editions of classical literature printed in the 1930s. You know those old books that private libraries in movies sport, shelves upon shelves of dark covers and yellowing pages? This library has them all. 8D I'm so very happy. So very happy. Had to resist checking out everything that gave me pause.
We share our house with ladybugs (some alive, most dead, >.>) and the reek of sulfur - we have a well, and now and then the mineral content builds up, resulting in the pungent smell of rotten eggs filling the house every time the faucet is turned on. We have to turn on all the faucets for at least fifteen minutes and open all the windows to get rid of the smell. The ladybugs are beyond are ability our to get rid of. There are so many of them, and they're everywhere, D8
Gah. Must go. It's not fair - I spend more hours than I can count without Internet and now that I have a chance to use it, my dad wants to rush into the library and rush right out again, taking me and my sister with him, DDD: I need to learn to type faster.

I'm happy for you and your library!
Ladybugs and sulphur? It sounds like I'd actually enjoy the place. You don't have a hot spring, do you? xD
Dark covers, yellowed pages, and classic typewriter font :D! It's great that your library has quite a collection of these novels--I'm imagining how the shelves must look *le sigh*. My dream library has always been the library from Disney's Beauty and the Beast, so perhaps it's no wonder, then, that that's the image I have in my mind, right now XD.
My library appears to be infatuated with the idea of everything being new, new, new; only the Great Books of the Western World novels resemble those nice antique-looking ones, though we do have a small handful--an infant's handful, really--of classics with the dark hard-covers.
And concerning the ladybugs, well, I'm not too sure what to say about those XD! At least the dead ones can be swept away, but I suppose that the real trouble comes from the ones that are still alive and flying around your house, then, huh? Good luck getting rid of the uninvited guests--one would think that by December they wouldn't be much of a problem, anymore!
Hello! I'm afraid this has nothing much to do with your post, but I don't know where to contact you @_@
I have a little favour to ask (though it's completely understandable if you're too busy). Would you mind 'shredding' a piece I wrote? It's about six pages long and I would love to hear someone's honest opinion of it.
Happy new year! Whee!
